Summer Excitement!

Oops...it has been a few weeks since our last post. We have just been keeping busy and enjoying some summer weather. Here are some of my favorite moments in the last few weeks. I have been playing in the yard with the sprinkler and hose, I had my friend Ransom over and got rides in the wheelbarrow :),I love to walk our dog Pico (& take this job very seriously), I have been to the pool for the first time this season and I have even helped mommy clean the kitchen floors. So, now you understand why we have been too busy to post. After a hard day at play sometimes I rest with my daddy. Hope you are enjoying your summer wherever you are!

Mommy & Amelia's vacation to Hickory

This past weekend mommy and I went on a little vacation all by ourselves to North Carolina while daddy was at a conference in Colorado. It was a LONG 6 hour drive in the car, but I managed quite well. We went to visit mommy's friends Andrea and Stuart and their kids, Aidan (2) and Courtlynn (6 mos). I had a pretty good time watching Aidan and playing with all of his toys. However, I wasn't all that fond of Courtlynn...well, really I liked her until mommy held her. Then I got a little jealous :) We had fun going to Buffalo Beal's petting zoo where I fed camels, goats, cows, chickens, saw monkeys and lots of other animals. A lot of kids are afraid to stick their hands in a large animal's mouth but NOT ME! I love animals! Here are some great pictures...

And, so that you are not confused about how large those camels really are in comparison to me...

We also went to the science center and got to pet sting rays and turtles and make our shadows on the wall :) But, mostly we just had relaxing fun at home
