Barbies, Dollhouses, Tea parties & Princesses!

I am going to be a BIG sister...to a baby GIRL!!! Mommy and daddy are so excited. Mommy had her ultrasound yesterday and the baby measured right on track and everything looked very healthy. Thank you for all of your prayers. Now...when can I get my hands on this little sister? How many days until January??

Visit to see my baby COUSIN!

I love babydolls...and I love new babies! I have a new little cousin Lilia and she is so sweet. She sleeps really well for her mommy and she doesn't mind too much when I take her paci, cover her with a blanket or play with her toys. Here are some great pictures of our fun together. Yes, that is me actually laying ON her. It's more fun that way! I am going to teach her everything I know :)

Potty update!

Well, I thought I would give you an update and a glimpse of what it has looked like around our house this week. Amelia is doing great with using the potty! We have had a few accidents here and there but she is using the potty 99% of the time. She has no problem using the "little potty" or any big potty in public. I am amazed and feel very blessed that she initiated this transition well before the new baby arrives. Here is an adorable pic of her running around the house in her new outfit: panties, sneakers and sunglasses (upside down of course:))

And, for those of you keeping track I am 19 weeks pregnant! I can't believe we are just a week from half way :) We have an ultrasound scheduled for August 26th so stay tuned for exciting news and keep us in your prayers that everything is healthy and strong!

I'm a BIG GIRL now!

Well, I have been very interested in sitting on the potty for the last several weeks, but mommy was reluctant to push potty training. Until yesterday! Mommy took my diaper off and I went ALL DAY long without an accident. I went pee-pee (and poopy) in the potty everytime! I am so independent that I don't even tell mommy that I have to go. I just run right in and sit down. Then I let her know what I have done by yelling "YAY! POTTY!" Did I mention that I am not even 2 yet? Mommy is so proud. We went today to buy some big girl panties :) I even surprised mommy by going to the potty in the store. Wow...I am ready to teach my new brother or sister everything that I know :)

Camping and Cousins...

This week has been FUN! My cousin Jeremy who is 13 is in town for the week and mommy and daddy took us both camping this weekend. We went to Montgomery Bell State Park in Burns, TN. Not too far from home, but definitely more fun :) I helped daddy put up a tent, saw and chop wood and break twigs to start a fire. I cooked hamburgers, hotdogs and scrambled eggs over a fire, swam in a lake, played in the sand and slept in a tent. Well, I did a little bit of sleeping. I guess I was so excited to be sleeping outside that all night long I kept waking up and walking around my crib and talking ("mommy, daddy, ow-high (translation- outside)"). This unfortunately kept pregnant mommy awake all night, but we had fun anyway. I do have some advice for those of you camping in tents in TN. Wait until the humid weather is over and it actually cools down at night :)
