Merry Christmas!

Well, many of you are calling and wondering if there is a new baby in our home...not yet! Here she is folks...safe and sound and stretching me out! My body seems to know exactly how to cook a baby for 40 weeks. Not a minute sooner. So, we are still awaiting baby girl #2. Here are some pictures of her with mommy and daddy as well as Amelia with her cousin Lilia. Aren't they both beautiful? We had a fabulous Christmas with the Lewis family and Amelia is sure to keep busy for the next few months exploring how all of her new toys work. Grandma bought her a battery operated train set which is surely the favorite toy this year. She will play with it for hours. She also got some dress up jewelry (which has only come off to sleep-you can see her earrings below) and some blocks and other fun toys. We will keep you posted about baby sister!

Our Little Chef

Amelia has become such a big helper. She loves to help mommy clean the floors, sort laundry, check daddy's pockets for the laundry, clear the dinner table, unload the dishwasher, wash dishes...so we decided she was ready to start cooking us meals! Here she is with daddy making scrambled eggs. One of her favorite things to do :) Just a quick little note and picture so I don't get too behind this month.

Wow, it has been a long time! Sorry! This month was full of fun things to report and Shawn and I even got a little vacation :) Amelia stayed with her grandma and papa Lewis for 4 days while mommy and daddy went to the mountains. We had a relaxing, wonderful weekend.
So, what else is new? Amelia is talking up a storm. She also loves to sing "twinkle, twinkle little star", "The Bumblebee Song" (not the official title I am sure) and her ABC's. I am uploading a video of her singing "twinkle". My favorite part is "like a diamond hoo ha high" (this is consistently her version). Sorry about the strange angle. She will not perform on demand so I had to be covert.

She loves to "kiss baby" and recently thinks that she has a baby in her tummy too :) We decorated our Christmas tree (which she loves to re-decorate on occasion by rearrranging ornaments). We also welcomed a new friend to our house- our elf on the shelf that we appropriately named "twinkle" although Amelia likes to refer to him simply as "silly elf". She loves to run and find him each morning while mommy makes breakfast.

I am sure that there are many other new things to report but I am short on time and will have to remember them later. We all hope that everyone's Thanksgivings were full of rest!

Love,

Audra
